There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last

22 months, and a total of 2,867 deaths.

That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion:

The U.S. should pull out of Washington

The interesting thing about this... Is you have a very affluent nieghborhood, nice homes, restaurants etc. and then a few blocks away. Slums! Extreme poverty. It is crazy! I am American so I think the white house is a beautiful bldg. that represents our country and history but it is embarrassing that a few blocks away from such a historic place... with Abraham Lincolns statue near by and all... to have such a poor neighborhood so close to what is representing the U.S.
As to Bush. He is DEADLY and will go down in history as our worst president ever! Torture, attacking a country that can not possibly defend itself against the U.S. Yes, he will go down as the worst president. History will not be kind to him. Not only that but the Republican party here is splintered... meaning that are all mixed up. Why? Because the republicans vote for old men with white hair that are white. The majority now are mixed and will only grow! So, I see the end of Republicans and people like Bush. I hope?!
It is nice for me to see topics on America.
Good or Bad... every place has both.
IF anyone wants my opinions on anything and want to know what a guy from the U.S. thinks... let me know. You will not offend me. I am very open minded and not easily offended because I am HUGE!!!! :eek: So, watch it! ;) :D

hi everyone,my friend bouboule i feel sorry for you because you are huge you should cut down the hamburgers,the pepsi etc..:p but let's stay serious for a minute.it is not good blaming bush i myself blame the americans who voted for him TWICE.bush do not know how to switch the pc,someone had asked him where was afghanistan was he did n't have a clue he is illiterate and most of the americans are as well.the people that made america big(i am talking science,technology,medicine etc.)are all from foreign origine.so long bouboule stay cool and slim like me,you live longer:)

You see the future well... but the past not so well... maybe it is all in the name, my ruusky friend.
One can be a large man and not from fat. Which is my case. Bouboule is just a nickname my wife gave me. Although I will say you left out pizza... which is VERY important.
As for blaming Bush? Yes, I do... very much, because he is the commander and chief. He is the boss of bosses and is ultimately responsible. Period. Up until him Americans trusted our Presidents and he broke that trust. Yes, Americans did vote for him twice but you have to realize that there is a split in America... Republicans and Democrats... Liberal and conservative. The water states... California on the west and New York on the East always vote Democratic, while the middle rural vote republican/conservative.
So, it all breaks down in the numbers I guess... Complicated although my wife tremendously LOVED watching the elections happen here. VERY exciting. I also think 911 and fear played into a lot of Americans and their voting for a cowboy to kick ass... you know what I mean?
As to the last part about why America is great... well, just to name a couple big ones for you that are not foriegn... and keep in mind I know Einstien was Austrian... but for Americans in the past... how about the "Wright brothers" who gave us the plane. How about Alexander ghram BELL who brought us the telephone... Thomas Edison who gave us Electricity; recently how about Bill Gates who brought us the internet... Henry Ford who brought us the car... Winchester, Colt, men that brought weapons to the masses around the world. AND how about me mentioning the biggest with Earths greatest accomplishment... IMO,
Space, - Landing on the moon and walking on it. Armstrong, Aldrin... "One small step for man... One giant leap for man kind" Space exploration that goes on to this day. Satelites first put up by Americans, YES because of the military but now "all" use them... all over the world. Atoms crashing in on one another... Yes, it gave us the "Bomb" but that same power now powers Most of France, you know? These are all Americans and American inventions, right? This is some pretty big stuff. Plane, Car, Electricity, Phone, Internet, computers, Space travel, hamburgers... Yes, there are a LOT of people in the U.S. from other countries who have added to our achievements but how far back are we to go to where someone is or is not an American? America is a melting pot. My grandparents are Scottish... am I a nonAmerican? Is my Mom.
Is someone who immagrates here and becomes a citizen... are they not Americans? What is the time line for a Foreigner to be an American... Cause if we want TRUE Americans... well then... the Navaho, the Sue... Indians would be true Americans... they were the first inhabitants of North America.
Please do not take this aggressively or as an in your face thing... Not to many people write to me here :D:D It is hard to know a history of a place fully without living there. I have a general knowledge of Frances occupation of Algeria but I can not even begin to speak on this topic.

Sarah Palin was running with Mcain for President and Vice President, Palin for Vice President... she being very popular I believe because she is pretty... actually thought "Africa" was a country. :eek: So, yea... wheeez gots sum dumb ones here... and dumb ones following the dumb ones BUT your educated or major metropolises... not so dumb mon ami.
